ADRC is founded upon the inspiration derived from Tan Sri Yussof Latiff’s vision to create a harmonious multicultural society. Tan Sri’s lifetime contribution to society via his capacity as the founding chairman of The Penang State Consultative Goodwill Council (MPHNPP) and the president of Persatuan Melayu Pulau Pinang (PEMENANG) has made great strides in promoting racial harmony and peace in the community.
Heeding Tan Sri Yussof Latiff’s calling and inspired by his relentless pursuit of social betterment and advancement, ADRC has been formed under his guidance and advice to serve the Muhibbah family and the community at large. ADRC’s primary objective is to train people with the right calibre to undertake the mammoth task of resolving social disputes. In order to achieve this, ADRC takes upon the role of training and coaching future alternative dispute resolution practitioners.
We would like to introduce our first USM-ADRC ADR professional course, namely “Professional Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice”.
The professional certificate is designed and co-created jointly with the Graduate School of Business, Universiti Sains Malaysia. The professional certificate will be issued jointly by GSB (USM) and ADRC upon completion of the course. The course covers the basic principles governing the practice of alternative dispute resolution and the practical aspects of the ADR process. Participants of the course will be taught how to conduct the ADR process in a professional manner and the ethics and rules governing the process.
We welcome community leaders and qualified individuals from industries to register for the course. In order to ensure that we have the right people to serve society, candidates will go through a due selection process. Once they have completed the course, they will be required to go through a minimum of hours of community service. We are also in the process of obtaining recognition for our courses by international ADR professional bodies.
